In our experience working with clients who have websites with vast amounts of content, we have found that the most effective approach to managing and presenting this content is through the use of design systems and standardization. This approach not only ensures a consistent and high-quality user experience but also allows us to scale up efficiently and maintain design standards across all pages.
The first step in this process is conducting a content audit to identify and catalog the various types of content on the website, such as blog posts, product descriptions, and news articles. Following this, content mapping and analysis are performed to understand the structure and requirements of the site, while formulating content models to outline the unique attributes of each content type, and ensure a comprehensive categorization and organization of the site’s content.
Once we have categorized the content, we then assign a specific layout and structure to each content type. This layout and structure will be designed to best present the content type, taking into consideration factors such as readability, user engagement, and SEO. For example, a blog post might have a different layout and structure compared to a product description.
Based on the assigned layout and structure, we then create a series of templates that are optimized for each content type. These templates serve as the foundation for each page, ensuring consistency in design and user experience across the website. They also allow us to quickly and efficiently create new pages, as the basic design elements are already in place.
The culmination of this process is the creation of a design system. This system is a collection of reusable components, guided by clear standards, that can be assembled together to build any number of applications. It allows us to replicate the design across different pages and sections of the website, ensuring a consistent look and feel.
One of the key benefits of this approach is scalability. With the templates and design system in place, we can easily scale up and produce more pages in less time. This is because the design elements and structures are already defined, allowing us to focus on the content rather than the design. This not only saves time but also ensures that the quality and design standards are maintained across all pages.
Through the use of design systems and standardization, we can effectively manage and present large amounts of content, ensuring a consistent and high-quality user experience, while also allowing us to scale up efficiently and maintain design standards.
We have chosen WordPress as our Content Management System (CMS) due to its flexibility, universality, and ease of use. WordPress is a powerful platform that allows us to create a wide range of websites, from simple blogs to complex e-commerce sites, and everything in between.
To build the pages, we use Elementor, a leading WordPress page builder. Elementor’s intuitive, drag-and-drop interface makes it easy for us to create stunning, responsive designs without needing to write any code. It also offers a wide range of widgets, templates, and features that allow us to customize each page to meet your specific needs.
If your website needs to support multiple languages, we can implement Weglot. This WordPress plugin makes it easy to translate your website into over 100 languages, ensuring that your content can reach a multilingual audience.
To ensure your website loads quickly and performs well, we implement caching and Content Delivery Network (CDN) solutions. Caching can significantly speed up your website by storing a static version of your pages, reducing the amount of work required to serve your content to visitors. CDNs further improve load times by storing your content on a network of servers around the world, ensuring that your pages load quickly for all users, no matter where they are located.
We understand the importance of data security, which is why we implement continuous database backups. This ensures that your website data is always safe and can be quickly restored in the event of any issues.
Finally, we believe in empowering our clients to manage their websites effectively. To this end, we provide training material for WordPress and the tools we use in the form of Loom videos and user manuals. These resources will guide you through the process of managing and updating your website, giving you the confidence and knowledge to maintain your online presence.

In the case of website redesign projects, before we start moving or redesigning pages, we will conduct a thorough indexing of the current site to ensure we have a complete understanding of its structure and content.
We will use a staging site for the redesign process to avoid disrupting the live site. This ensures that the transition is seamless and doesn’t impact the user experience or SEO negatively.
One of the key steps we will take is to add redirects, particularly 301 redirects, which are permanent and designed for use by both website visitors and search engines. These redirects are crucial for SEO because they transfer inbound links from the old pages to the new ones. This process informs search engines that the URL for a specific page has changed, ensuring that your visitors find exactly what they need.
We will also ensure that quality, SEO-boosting backlinks to your site still work. Where possible, we will contact the owners of other websites to update their backlinks to accommodate the redesign. In cases where this isn’t possible, we will set up 301 redirects to work with the existing backlinks.
